New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman ने आज संसद में अपना सातवां लगातार Budget प्रस्तुत किया - Tuesday, July 23. उन्होंने key employment schemes की घोषणा की और new tax regime में tax structure revised किया, जबकि old tax regime में slabs unchanged रहे। वित्त मंत्री ने cancer medicines और mobile phones पर customs duty में major reduction की घोषणा की। Imported gold, silver, leather goods और seafood भी सस्ते होंगे।

**New tax regime slabs revised, standard deductions hiked by ₹25,000**

Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman ने announce किया है कि new tax regime में slabs change होंगे और standard tax deduction ₹50,000 से बढ़ाकर ₹75,000 कर दिया गया है। हालांकि, old tax regime में deduction ₹50,000 ही रहेगा। family pensioners के लिए new regime में deduction ₹15,000 से बढ़कर ₹25,000 हो जाएगा।
New slabs:
- Up to ₹3,00,000: Nil
- ₹3,00,001 to ₹7,00,000: 5%
- ₹7,00,001 to ₹10,00,000: 10%
- ₹10,00,001 to ₹12,00,000: 15%
- ₹12,00,001 to ₹15,00,000: 20%
- Above ₹15,00,000: 30%
इससे new regime को अपनाने वाले individuals ₹17,500 बचा सकते हैं। Income Tax Act of 1961 का comprehensive review भी announce किया गया है।
